Sir David Montgomery, former Lord Lieutant of Perth and Kinross, has been awarded the Royal Victorian Order (CVO), Sir David served in The Black Watch in the post-war years and was chairman of the Forestry Commission from 1979 to 1989. OBEs go to leader of Perth and Kinross council, Jimmy Doig, and Ian Mason, of Blairgowrie, who is credited with much of the success of Scottish swimmers at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia.
