Tour Pitlochry Scotland
Hi Sandy, We are going to Loch Tummel at Easter and would like to know where the nearest shopping centre is, and if there is some nice eating pubs with a log fire roaring in the day and evenings, also with some entertainment in them. Kind regards, from Valerie Piggott. Bonhams.
Hi Valerie, I hope you enjoy your Easter trip to Scotland. Pitlochry, situated to the South of Loch Tummel would be your nearest town and shopping centre. The Pitlochry Festival Theatre might be worth checking out for entertainment, it lies on the banks of the River Tummel and is internationally renowned for its fine repertoire of drama and comedy.
The Old Mill Inn, Pitlochry, Scotland, has a bar lounge with comfy sofas and chairs, and a log fire blazing away.
North of Loch Tummel is The House of Bruar, one of the most prestigious country stores in Scotland, consisting of ladies and gents clothing, a gallery, restaurant and food hall.
The Pitlochry Tourist Information Centre is worth visiting to find all the information you need to enjoy and explore this beautiful part of Scotland.

Tour Cellardyke Fife Scotland
Hi Sandy, I have been researching religious revivals in Scotland, and Cellardyke features a number of times. I have some old photos of Anstruther harbour, but I presume that that's diffferent from Cellardkye harbour. Can you tell me please, do you know how I might acquire the loan of an old photo of Cellardyke, street or harbour, for use in my publication. Thanks very much, Tom Lennie from Orkney currently in Edinburgh.
Hi Tom,
To get a photograph suitable for publication, I would recommend that you contact the good folks at the Scottish Fisheries Museum, in Anstruther. This wonderful museum tells the story of fishing in Scotland and its people from earliest times to the present. The museum has an extensive collection of Cellardyke photographs. Sandy

Tour Scotland Leven Shell House
Hi Sandy, I was wondering if you could help me please My grandparents lived in Buckhaven, Fife, and I used to go there for holidays I seem to remember going to Leven and I seem to think there as a small house made entirely of shells. Unfortunately there is no one left in the family who remembers this. Was it there or was it a child's imagination ? Thank you, Carol.
Hi Carol, It existed as you can see above, and I also remember it well.

Tour Scotland Gypsies
Where the Pennine Way drops into Kirk Yetholm, a small cottage stands by the wayside. Oddly at first glance, it flaunts the grandiose name The Palace. Although strangers may suspect an ironic joke, the cottage and its name commemorate an ancient, tangled strand of Scottish history, for this was the home of the Yetholm gypsy rulers.

If you wouldn't mind answering my question or pointing me to a site were I could find this out would be much appreciated, Kind Regards, Katrina Wenzlaff.
Hi Katrina, I am sorry to have to tell you that it was chronologically impossible for there to have been a romance between Wallace and the Princess Isabelle character in the Braveheart Movie.

The Fifth Day Of A New Tour of Scotland
The Forth Railway Bridge from South Queensferry. The Fifth day, of my latest small group Tour of Scotland. A very windy February day in Scotland. Today we drove South from Dunkeld, crossed the Forth Road Bridge, and toured Rosslyn Chapel, located just South of Edinburgh.
Rosslyn Chapel, correctly named the Collegiate Church of St Matthew, was founded on a small hill above Roslin Glen, Scotland, as a Roman Catholic collegiate church in the mid-15th century.

Dear Sandy, I am looking for an aerial photo of the whole island of Iona. I understand that you may have a poster by Colin Baxter? I spent some time on Iona back in 1983 and am now using my notes to write a novel. Can I order the poster from you? If so how? I am in the USA. Thanks, Ellen, Massachusetts.

Castle Campbell, Scotland. Dramatically situated above Dollar Glen, is the forbidding-looking 15th century fortress, Castle Campbell. The castle was the lowland stronghold of the Campbell earls of Argyll who were seldom far from the major political and religious events of late medieval Scotland.
