Situated in Ayrshire, on a hilltop with panoramic views overlooking open countryside, Arran, Ben Lomond and Kintyre, these three holiday cottages have been renovated to a good standard and offer an ideal base from which to explore South West Scotland. With many on site activities to choose from including an all weather family den with pool table, darts, arts and crafts, children’s play area and hidey huts, gem panning, guided walks, cycling, tractor rides, pond dipping, fishing and farm tours. Guests have access to a 200-acre farm and woodland walks. Ayrshire offers a varying coastline with villages, beaches and rocky coves to explore. Inland there is walking, gardens and castles to visit, riding, racing and a choice of golf courses. Local attractions include Loudon Theme Park, Newmilns Dry Ski Slope, Cowans Law Loch Fishing and Country Sports. Culzean Castle (owned by the National Trust for Scotland) is spectacular and is Ayrshire’s most popular tourist attraction. The surrounding country park (extending over 420-acres) has a network of wooded trails passing along the beach. Craft shows, country dancing and walks spotting fungi are attractions hosted during the year. Day trips to Ireland can be taken from Stranraer and Troon, whilst a drive north leads to Ayr, a traditional seaside town. Glasgow and Edinburgh are easily reached for a day out. Additional parking is available for the cottages. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
