
Newburgh From The Air. Newburgh, in North Fife, Scotland, is situated on the banks of the River Tay. Newburgh has had a settlement or a village on the present site from a period much earlier than the end of the twelfth century, but it was at this time that the village grew in importance, due to the founding of Lindores Abbey, and was named in a Royal Charter as Newburgh.
