Anstruther is a small, but growing, town in the East Neuk of Fife, located nine miles southeast of St Andrews, Scotland. The village of Cellardyke, where I was raised, forms an easterly extension of Anstruther, and has its own harbour. Anstruther, as shown in the old photograph, was originally a very busy fishing village, and is now home to the Scottish Fisheries Museum, but its main industry is now tourism, although other small scale manufacturing and service industries continue. Pleasure craft now moor in the harbour, and there is a golf course. Waid Academy, the local school, where I was educated, also doubles up as a community centre. Anstruther Photographs.
