Tour Scotland April Testimonial. Hi Sandy, The photos have arrived. They are terrific. Thank you so much. The whole trip is such a pleasant memory. We appreciate all you did to make it so. Even the cloudy day photos are enjoyable. I can think of nothing but praise. I know you asked us to be truthful and help you to improve things. I cannot come up with anything but compliments. It is still amazing how fast you can drive on those narrow roads. With such beautiful scenery though your passengers hardly notice the speed. Continued good health to you, Pat Bracey.
Dear Pat, It was a pleasure to meet you, and share my Scotland with the four of you. I want to thank you for not letting the poor weather get you down in the slightest. I also want to mention that not only did I enjoy your company, but that the hotel staff have also told me how much they enjoyed having you as guests. You were wonderful ambassadors for your home State of Michigan. All the best from Scotland, Sandy Stevenson.

Tour Scotland Highland Games 2008
Tour Scotland Highland Games 2008. Scottish Highland Games Dates 2008. Highland games are held throughout the year in Scotland and many other countries of the world as a way of celebrating Scottish and Celtic culture and heritage, especially that of the Scottish Highlands. Certain elements of the games are so well known as to have become emblematic of Scotland, such as the bagpipes, the kilt, and the heavy events, especially the caber toss. While centered around competitions in piping and drumming, dancing, and Scottish heavy athletics, the games also include entertainment and exhibits related to other aspects of Scottish and Gaelic culture.

Colin Brown Ancestry Tour of Scotland. This gravestone can be found in Abernethy Churchyard, Perthshire, Scotland. Erected by the Associate Congregation of Abernethy. In memory of the Reverend Colin Brown, their late Pastor, who was ordained November 10th, 1767, and who died July 8th, 1805, aged 58 years. His capacious mental powers were assiduously and successfully employed in the pursuit of useful knowledge. He was no more eminent for his learning, than for his piety, usefulness and exemplary conduct. In doctrine he showed sincerity, gravity, and sound speech in him; the afflicted found comfort; the offender, a meek yet faithful reprover; the humble inquirer, a modest instructor. He was a faithful Pastor, an amiable colleague, an agreeable companion, and trusty friend. He was deservedly esteemed by his brethern, his flock, and all his acquaintances. The remembrance of him will long be sweet.

Your site is a tremendous blessing to me in the research of my novel as I live in the US and won't likely go to Scotland in person any time soon. I look forward to "touring" Scotland with the help of your posts and links. Blessings to you! Camille Eide.

Tour Forteviot Churchyard Scotland
Forteviot Churchyard, Perthshire, Scotland. Forteviot was the site of an important Pictish settlement in the reign of King Oengus. With the defeat of the Picts by the Scots in the ninth century, Kenneth mac alpin had his palace there. Legend has it that the first Christian Church at Forteviot was built in response to the visit of Kilrymont, St. Andrews, monks to the valley during the eighth century. Certainly a basilica existed from the first half of that century. In 1165 William the Lion granted Forteviot to his chaplain, Richard of Stirling. From early in the thirteenth century, Forteviot was in the Deanery of Gowrie, Diocese of St. Andrews. The rector of Forteviot was a canon of St. Salvator’s. After the Reformation, St. Andrews University became the patron. The present building, the third, was erected in 1778. Forteviot Churchyard.
