The old burgh of Dysart with its redolent harbour and cobbled streets, the golden sands of the Dubbie Braes before they were drowned by colliery redd, and the lost golf course, first ignominiously ploughed up to grow vegetables on and later sown with council housing - this is indeed a visual record of old Dysart. The rest of the book could easily be dedicated to the demolisher's big black ball too and features photos of Pathhead, Sinclairtown and Gallatown. Old Dysart and East Kirkcaldy.
