Christopher Uncles has selected approximately 180 pictures for his book on Skye, which is divided into three sections and includes pictures of virtually every settlement on the island, large and small. A handful of the many memorable images featured include SS Glencoe at Kyle, a tinker's caravan loaded aboard a ferry boat about to depart from Kyle, scenes from the works of Skye Marble Ltd. and climbers on top of giddy peaks in the Cuillins. The list of places covered is as follows: Portree, Staffin, Digg, Duntulm, Kilmuir, Uig, Skeabost, Bernisdale, Stein, Waternish, Dunvegan, Glendale, Roskhill, Bracadale, Drynoch, Carbost, Portnalong, Elgol, Loch Scavaig, the Cuillins, Sligachan, Luib, Torrin, Broadford, Kyleakin, Kylerhea, Isle Ornsay, Tarskavaig, Armadale, Ardvasar. The book concludes with a picture of the Skye bridge nearing completion. Last Ferry to Skye. Tour Isle Of Skye.
