Creich Castle Scotland

After a foggy and frosty start to this December day, the sun appeared as I toured my home area of Scotland. Creich Castle, the ancient residence of the Bethunes, is now a ruin. It is 47 feet in length, by 39 feet in breadth, and three stories high, with a court-yard on the west. Within this court-yard the present farm-house is located. The castle has been a place of very considerable strength. It was defended on the south-east by a morass, and on the other sides by strong outworks, part of which has been taken down. It bears no date to mark its age. Tour Fife Scotland.
